The Fancy Shawl Dance... nicknamed the Butterfly dance. This native dance started in the early 60's and has become a tradition with many tribes or nations. As an artist, it was the colours which attracted me to want to paint this. I am gradually learning more and more about the First Nation people and their wonderful traditions.
